Grand Prix Boats

Last weekend in Cambridge was the first time I witnessed the Grand Prix class of hydroplanes. What a sight! Check out the size of the roostertails--I'm hoping they make a return trip next year.

Hydroplane Races

Finally, the weekend is here. I'm totally geeked and ready to start the 2nd straight weekend of hydroplane racing in Maryland. I'm wondering about the boat count for tomorrow. I was completely surprised last weekend with the large number of boats.

T-10 Flirtin with Disaster Blow Over

From last weekend in Cambridge. Driver John Shaw was unhurt. I'm hoping they can make repairs in time for this weekends race.

Kent Narrows Aug 2-3

There is a 50% chance of no rain tomorrow and Sunday looks to be awesome. I don't expect as many boats as last weekend in Cambridge. I think there might be a race in Canada that's competing with Kent Narrows but, several boats are staying in the area so they can head to Hampton next weekend.
